SYNAPS is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or other assistive technologies. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across our site.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML so the page structure makes sense in screen readers.
- Provide alt text for product imagery and decorative images marked appropriately.
- Maintain a colour contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for body text.
- Make all interactive elements keyboard-operable, with a visible focus indicator.
- Use ARIA attributes where native HTML can't fully express the component.
- Support `prefers-reduced-motion` so animations are disabled when requested.
- Avoid time-based interactions in checkout; you can complete an order at your own pace.
Known limitations
We're not perfect. Some of the things we're actively working on:
- Improving the contrast of certain secondary text on light backgrounds.
- Adding captions and transcripts to any future video content.
- Refining the multi-buy configurator's keyboard order.
